Hi Boris,

By definition, the devel branch is always the most up to date code.
Devel is the branch used to create releases, so it always greater than or equal to the last release.

Hi All,

I've been trying to install the PacketFence devel on Ubuntu 14.04. I
have had success in the past, but not had a chance to play with it.

Today I installed a new Ubuntu 14.04 server and then attempted to
install PacketFence.

All went well until the end. Here's what failed

Setting up freeradius-ldap (2.2.6) ...
* Checking FreeRADIUS daemon configuration... [fail]
invoke-rc.d: initscript freeradius, action "force-reload" failed.
dpkg: error processing package freeradius-ldap (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Setting up freeradius-postgresql (2.2.6) ...
* Checking FreeRADIUS daemon configuration... [fail]
invoke-rc.d: initscript freeradius, action "force-reload" failed.

Well, Ubuntu 14.04 is not on the list of officially supported distros.
That definitely makes it on the list of things to be developed so this is the correct list to discuss it but OTOH you have to expect things like that to happen.

Unless you are handy with packaging you may be better sticking with the supported distros.

Hi Louis,

I had installed it previously on Ubuntu 14.04 successfully a few months
ago. I'm not sure what has changed since.

I have also tried installing the latest Packetfence on Ubuntu 12.04.5
with no success. I followed the installation instructions in the PDF
documentation as well as the FAQ on the site. No luck.

I'll post what errors I got while installing on 12.04.5 soon. It had
multiple umet dependencies errors.

Hi Andrew,

try adding to your /etc/freeradius/radiusd.conf (not the /usr/local/pf one!)
allow_vulnerable_openssl = yes
and install packetfence again.
